Brain Damage Meets Vibronics: Empire Soldiers - Live

Mr. Vibronics has next to "Return of vibronics“Currently still an iron in Dub-Fire: Brain Damage Meets Vibronics, "Empire Soldiers - Live“(Jarring Effects). It is an im Dub rather unusual project: the live recording of a “concert”. Dub as studio music actually has little to offer on a live stage (except for the senior allstars), especially since the "concert" mostly consists of playing sound files that are mixed live, but which is not for the audience from the second row onwards anyway you can see. So the sound system practice took off: play canned food, manipulate the sound a little, and add some live toasting. What's so great about that? The volume, the communal atmosphere and last but not least: the huge bass. But what is retained when a live recording is played on the home system at a volume compatible with the neighbor? Nothing. It is therefore not surprising that “Empire Soldiers - Live” turned out to be a rather disappointing album that also cannot convince in terms of sound. So I recommend the studio original from 2013, with a clean sound, a lot of bass and clear vocals from Brain Damage.

Yes, I have the studio original from 2013 and find it very weak. Didn't reach me on my cloud It wouldn’t have needed a live record of that, but rather a Dub-Disc.
