Bat Recordings is a little French DubLabel. The Dub Shepherds are probably his most famous act. Small but nice, like the very nice sampler “Exo Fam vs. Bat Recordings ”has recently proven. Well there is with "Home Run # 3" (Bat Recordings) released a label sampler again - this time it was even free to download. Such offers are not uncommon. On the other hand, the quality of this freeware sampler is rare: seven extremely beautiful Dubs, all in charming old school style. A real hit is “Poorman Sufferation” by Pinnacle Sound & Jolly Joseph. Here you think you can hear the Revolutionaries playing and the meditations sing along with it. When listening to the rest of the tracks, associations with Scientist and Prince Jammy are inevitable. That's fun.

Thank you René, a really fine recommendation. The discomix by Pinnacle Sound & Jolly Joseph is also my favorite of the BAT label show in the classic Dub-Style.

Unfortunately, I can't always completely block out the rustling of the little "cimbals". Especially with your favorite, it rustles a little too much for me.
Otherwise it is music to be enjoyed. The interplay of real drums and real bass is still the icing on the cake. The little spontaneous ones
The drummer's improvisations with the skilfully ground-in effects always impress me very much.

The Dub is the blockbuster for me here !!! In the truest sense of the word, closely followed by "Dub Tell me ”and“ Bloody Dub". Bloody Dub sometimes even reminds me of them
"Revolutionary Dub Warriors "(On-U.Sound). Not necessarily, as far as the groove is concerned, but rather this very “industrial” effect on the bassline. Before anyone writes here, the effect is also reminiscent of Mad Professor, I'll say, yes, but only very remotely.
Sweet collie Dub and Inglan Dub then rustle a little too hard for me, whereby the “Inglan Dub“Remembers me most why I was the first DubExperiments of
King Tubby wasn't really crazy.
Still that Dubs here are nice and crisp and also have certain rough edges that we all really like, if I'm not mistaken.
