A new edition of the “Jahtari Dubbers " has been released: "Vol. 4 " (Jahtari). And, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful in the series. The tunes gathered here come from all corners of the globe: Australia, London, Canada, China, South Africa, Scotland and of course Germany. Despite their different origins, they are united by a uniform sound: the typical 8-bit sound of early digital reggae, to which the now astonishing 10-year-old net label Jahtari has dedicated itself body and soul. Contrary to what the title suggests, these are by no means only Dub-Instrumentals offered. Rather, the album is a colorful bag of deepen Dub-Tunes (with the help of which the theory that the digital sound of reggae corresponds to the Dub put an end to it in Jamaica, banished it to the realm of legends), energetic deejay action in the style of a cutty rank or super cat, as well as retro singing in the style of a tenor saw. My favorites, however, are the pure ones Dub-Tunes like Rootha's hypnotic "Dancing Chrods" or Diggory Kenricks "Stranger Flutes". But it's all in the mix.

I have to contradict myself here again. These Jahtarians are 100% digital. There are also those from Germany (I would have said a long time ago) but they have a groove on them that I can't escape. It's a shame that Vol. 4 has escaped me so far. I think part 1 and part 3 are great. In part 2, the boys probably ran out of steam. The disc is a total failure for me. But I still have to get Vol. 4 somehow.
