LD Dub: Mystic Roots

The Svaha Sound label, based in London, released their first and so far only album in 2014 LD Dub: "Mystic Roots" (svahasound.com) released. Lots of information about LD Dub none of the search engines could provide me. All I have learned is that LD Dub Founded in 2012 by Ludovic Daquin from Bayonne, a city in the French Basque Country. After the drummer Daquin experienced several disappointments as a band member, he decided to make his own "sound". I can already tell you that for us Dubheads was in any case a very good decision, because it created a sound cosmos that is very much different from the classic rootsDub is influenced. Each of the seven analog tracks from this album has its own character and yet the opus sounds like a unit. LD Dub did an excellent and completely convincing job with the whole mix. Different ingredients are used to build up the tension in the tracks. Sometimes it's a few swaths of melodica floating by, sometimes it's Far Eastern influences such as sitar sounds. In addition, all were Dubs refined with a lot of reverb, echo and beautiful sound effects. Ludovic Daquin opens all the doors to acoustic perception and draws abundantly from the possibilities that a good mixing console offers today. In places you have the feeling that the sound is coming from all four directions. Even if the last two titles go a little more in the "French Steppers" direction, all friends of the well-groomed should Dub be sure to listen to this album.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Fantastic RasVobei !!!

I am completely thrilled! I am also a friend of the “well-groomed Dubs “but in the meantime and also mainly, I have them Dubpreferably fireworks.
It doesn't make sense to embellish your excellent description of the data any further. Especially the perception, the sound and effects from all four directions
come, that's exactly how I feel. The fact that Ludovic Daquin is a drummer makes the "disc" even more special to me and leaves me with it DubFeel s particularly intensely. I like it very much when the drums have a lot of reverb and echo and a little "drum solo" is carried into infinity at the end with reverb and echo. But otherwise everything is here completely in a web of really fat and interwoven "Dubeffects "spun together. The result is a network that enchants the senses just by looking at it and I can't wait to let myself fall into this network and wait for the "kiss" from "Tekla". Now I have tried again to express myself a little “poetically” in order to emphasize my enthusiasm.
The “intro” alone is pure magic for me. "Duba Babylon “has an almost cosmic one Dubatmosphere, with a really fat riddim and a strong bassline, and is accompanied by fireworks that make every New Year's fireworks look like a lantern walk. "I'll go with my lantern and my lantern with me" or something.
"Duba JAH “brings natural events, such as layers of clouds that rub against each other, directly into the living room. It has a pretty monotonous bassline, but it digs into my brain in a very exciting and enjoyable way. “Monotony in the South Seas” can also be very relaxing. "Duba Smile ”comes again from the“ Open Office ”of SupaNova Dub school.
All the “nine” gates and channels that a “new mixer offers today” are open (to support the words of RasVorbei again). There is also a stepper
riddim really good! "Duba mystic “almost to me this entire DubWork together! Everything is here that is mine DubHeart desires. The bassline is indeed mystical and the Dubwizzard plays extremely skillfully with the mixer. In addition, he lets the Indian instrument (the sitar) play a truly hypnotic part that even the last "rationalists"
get a little esoteric. You can also be put into a trance by a mysterious monk.
I felt the last two “French steppers” compared to all the others gathered here DubIt's a little pushy at first. But there is one on these riddims too
so fantastic Dubatmosphere that makes me really euphoric. "Duba Weed “pumps really well and pulls a lot of material through it so that it doesn't look boring or sterile under any circumstances. “Indor Palace” is almost a small “Drum Inferno” full of effects, where you don't know exactly where up or down is, let alone where
North, south, east or west. Which does not mean that you could possibly lose your orientation here. DubFor something like this, heads have a built-in, very special compass that always keeps them on course “off track”.
This Dubs here are exactly my thing!

Unfortunately there is nothing tangible from this great music ……………………… lemmi

hi lemmi,

thanks! I am pleased that my selection has met your exquisite connoisseur taste. You can hardly add anything more to your comment. What I particularly like about your comments in general are your comparisons, which you often put to the point in metaphors.
z. B. "... is accompanied by fireworks that make every New Year's fireworks look like a lantern walk."

"Unfortunately there is nothing tangible about this great music again ………………"
Perhaps Nicolai “Echo Beach” Beverungen will take notice of the work, leaving some local ones Dub-Masters do a few remixes and at least release the whole thing as a CD in the "Serious Classics" series. (You can dream ...)

Everybody said it will not work"!
Then someone came along who didn't know
and it went

Yo RasGo by!

When you consider the even one DubSpecial for the Illibillies, in this case it is even mandatory.
So the assignment to Echo Beach is:

DUB IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ……………………… .. lemmi
