I have discovered a new law of nature! I am very proud of this discovery and I am publishing it here for the first time. So: whenever you turn on the local world music channel, a reggae piece follows after the third song at the latest. It doesn't necessarily have to be a real reggae production. It can also z. B. be a cumbia digital track with clear reggae offbeat, or a nouvelle chanson with reggae backing. This law has been confirmed continuously for about five years. What can be deduced from this? Quite simply: the world music scene is interspersed with the reggae rhythm. No matter what corner of the world a piece comes from, a reggae beat always fits. Almost twenty years ago Sly & Robbie proved the proximity of reggae to bhangra that Balkan beats and reggae go together perfectly, every child hears, and that Tecno Brega or Cumbia are digital reggae by other means is obvious. It is therefore only logical that the Romanian gypsy band Mahala Rai Banda put the remix of their last single "Balkan Reggae" in the hands of reggaeDub-Coryphae and very stylish in the one-riddim of the same name-Dub-Sampler "Balkan Reggae" (Asphalt Tango) was transformed. Nick Manasseh, Mad Professor, Vibronics or even Kanka got the opportunity to transform Balkan funk into powerful, instrumental reggaeDub-Tunes to transform. Can't that work? Totally wrong! Even if single-minded reggae purists turn up their noses, I love the album, precisely because it throws conventions overboard and blends two musical worlds in an outrageously postmodern way. In any case, the result is real reggae, with excellent Balkan brass sections, a cool bassline and really nice melodies. So i have Dub Never heard of it - but I really want more of it.

is the local world music broadcaster “by chance” about Funkhaus Europa?
