Brizion!
It's generally always good. But not necessarily very good, and
– From a feeling perspective – they're always pretty similar, to put it mildly. There's no development. Which isn't really necessary, because if something is well-developed, why develop it further?! I've even praised Brizion before, if I'm not mistaken. I always find his rhythmic foundation very solid, but he also knows, or rather, he should know, that he can't entice me with just a melodica anymore. So I could have let this album wash over me again without a word, but the bias line in "Finest City Version" is currently shaking my entire office to its core. And those crisp drums à la Style Scott!!!
I've heard it so often, and in such a similar way, that I could almost play it myself. Yes… and an AI could too. But here, both the drum and bias line patterns fit my best reggae dreams so perfectly that I simply couldn't let it go uncommented.
