Dennis Bovell: Wise Music in Dub

Sometimes I wonder if I might have the “DubAir" is slowly running out. Or at least already contains too much CO2. Then I listen to a playlist with my highlights and am still an enthusiastic DubFan who is completely filled with this music. So it is not necessarily my fault that I, for example, also like all the current DubStreams on the radar don't seem to find anything particularly exciting.
But it can also not be that I am a Dennis Bovell Dubproduction. After all, the man has already produced many very good Dubs – for my taste – delivered. And also “Wise Music In Dub"It didn't exactly turn out "bad," but it doesn't really tingle for me either. Neither in my head nor in my navel. Doubts always arise. What stuck with me most were the many vocal snippets, which I'm happy to listen to in abundance from a Prince Far I or even a Horace Andy, but I wasn't so convinced by this singer. Nothing against "Train to dUbville!" This version is a nice surprise for me, even if the "Sacksophon" towards the end goes over the top (my goal). I'd rather spend the night in a tent in a wetland full of croaking frogs.
All other DubHowever, I find the versions on the album a bit too shallow. I'm going out on a limb again and guessing Winston Francis is on vocals. I like a lot of Winston's tunes, but I'm not entirely convinced. Sometimes I think it could be Papa D from Sweden. And as I'm writing this, "Black and White" comes on, and I immediately get goosebumps again.
So I could just as well write, forget everything I've written about the album so far and enjoy the beautiful music. While I continue to wrestle with myself and ask myself what I actually think of the album. It's definitely quite nice, but I'm not sure if "quite nice" really fits my needs in the long run. DubIt meets my expectations. If I just stream it, it'll probably be more of a coincidence if I hear the album again, but if there's a full-length release, I'll have to let my mood decide whether I treat myself to the album.

Hehe, yes it's good!
I've also since checked that the vocal partners are listed at the bottom, for example on Spotify. I actually recognized Winsten Francis and Papa Dee. That wasn't so obvious for me, because I can hear Burning Spear, Peter Tosh, and the like much better. I would have definitely recognized Brinsley Forde, too, but I probably would have had to listen again for that.
I don't know the others.
Well, it doesn't really matter, but I had a certain desire to add a little more about myself here.

More than being a goalkeeper is not possible today ………………….. lemmi
