One answer to "Dub Spencer & Trance Hill: Synchronos"
I wonder if I should really dare Dub Spencer and Trance Hill, to stab them in the back like that. I'm such a huge fan of the band and, of course, I don't want to harm them. Maybe I'm expecting too much these days. In any case, I'm only at "Full Time" with "Synchronos." Dub' and – even with the first reservations – put their heart and soul into "Alioth." In "Full Time Dub" Masi – the bassist – has discovered a truly groovy bias line. I'm still completely enchanted by "Alioth," but then it becomes rather ordinary, I must admit. I don't know how often "Dub Spencer and Trance Hill” meet in the studio to record new music. Dubs to record. This is the first time I get the feeling that they didn't take all that much time to create the album. I found their ideas more varied in the past, whereas here I get the feeling that the ideas weren't necessarily compiled over a whole year.
I admit, this is a quick shot on my part. But it's my first overall impression. Don't worry, I'll still buy the album ;-)
