A response to “Dutty Hands: Militant Minor” Dubplates "
Okay! Today I feel really strong again! Hehe...
Therefore, I don't care today about sticking my neck out again and possibly being completely wrong. Virtually everyone here is doing it. DubThe tune follows almost the same pattern, and while the drum intros aren't all exactly the same, they sound almost identical to me.
I can't find any mention of musicians anywhere. So I'm pretty sure it's AI-generated music. But I don't want to like AI music! Why do I like "this crap"? Except for the drum intros, I actually find the album quite varied, with consistently good, occasionally interspersed guitar parts. And the horns were also well "generated," in my opinion. The bass lines leave nothing to be desired. They're totally grooving for me. So what's not to like about this album? And yes, I'm writing this today. I even get a bit of a "Roommate feeling" with most of the riddims, though I really hope I haven't offended him.
It can't be, and it shouldn't be, that I now also like AI music. I fundamentally reject it for moral and ethical reasons. Without knowing exactly what morality and ethics are, or should be. Screw it! "Who the Fuck Is Shakespeare?"
Well, I really couldn't care less about that weird "music maker" from England, but not about BassMan from Jamaica!
Yes, okay, I primarily wanted to "come out" myself to give some current feedback on my perception of AI music.
What would make me happiest right now, though, is if someone could write, "No, Lemmi, it's no problem at all! You're still the 'hero of the world' and you won't be fooled. The music was 'generated' by a human!"
This is definitely not a "win-win situation". Either I've lost because it's AI music after all, and I still quite like it, or I've lost because I didn't recognize that it's real music by real artists. Or at least one!
You don't have to help me, but it would be nice if you did... Lemmi
