A response to “ECHO BEACH Lifefidelity: French Dub “Connection meets Echo Beach”
Well, look at that!
The “French Dub Connection again. No idea how long it's been. I have two Connection albums and then I lost track. It's always very inconsistent. Which I guess is the point. I don't go for every remix either, but I do enjoy them every now and then. Only "God Is A Man" from Dub Syndicate was downright abused here – in my opinion. I have to hammer my toenails down so I can fit back into my shoes. Or you could call it... DubTune "Good is a radical stepper". Sorry, but the original is just awesome for me. Well, maybe I don't even know the original. Even with "Mellow and Collie", I have to completely readjust my mixing board for my ears to accept this awful sound. But hey, the riddim and the groove are just fantastic. The best version has DubIn my opinion, Matix conjured up magic on the "Expanded Deluxe Edition". I was and still am impressed by all the versions that DubMatix was absolutely thrilled with what he did there.
But no matter. It's another very diverse sampler, with something for almost everyone. Definitely for me!
It's definitely "club-friendly" but it's not just club music...
