A very nice "classic" showcase album from my current favorite label Fruit Records from Geneva. And they can also do ska and rocksteady very well: https://album.link/i/1764008382
Actually, I didn’t want to give off any “bad vibes” about it.
If you still like it, then that's just how it is.
I like Kumar and his voice, but Raging Fyah didn't exactly bring a breath of fresh air with their rhythmic texture. I don't know if they were too concerned with radio suitability from the start. I was "hyping" them too, but basically, with a few exceptions, I don't remember much good about them. And that's even though they can be really good. "Dub Ripe Fruit” with some “Salomon” (who is in Dub is beautifully faded out ) is – for me – a very excellent DubAlbum where I notice that they can definitely hit my taste exactly on the spot. But who rolled out the rhythm section here? Sorry Philipp! You'll have to "turn your attention away" now... but to me it sounds like it could also be Tim Bendsko's backing group.
Oh oh, lemmi… what has happened to you?
Yeah, I don't know. I have so much reggae that hits me much harder. And that's still my favorite!!!
With that in mind…… “Play It Cool and Play It Right!”
