A response to “Roots Radics, Style Scott & Flabba Holt: Night Nurse in Dub"
“Night Nurse” by Gregory Isaacs in DubDoesn't sound to me like a scientist with radical roots in science. DubRather after Dub Syndicate without Adrian Sherwood, or at least he held back considerably. It's precisely this restraint that I see as a slight weakness in enjoying the album. At high volume, I don't miss a thing. All I hear is a dream team of bass and drums with effects that, in my opinion, are either not from Adrian Sherwood or only rarely.
Perhaps I'm just spoiled today by the sound from the Black Ark, because there was always something going on there.
But still, thank you for this beautiful album by and with Style and Flabba …………………… lemmi
