Yabass Yaba Radics: Yabass Return of The Versionista

The use of AI for music production has become a web of confusion across my synapses, impairing my unbiased perception. I now suspect I'm being completely duped "around every corner."
I find this album so great that I don't care who or what did it. Especially when the subwoofers are set up "right" or, even better, when the bias boxes are set up, I am in a frenzy. AWESOME!!! Especially because the sound volume does full justice to the powerful bias lines. Anything else would be a neglect. It may not glitter like a tree covered in tinsel in terms of effects, but I am fascinated by the "many" small and very varied sound settings for the instruments. Especially the rhythm instruments. The rhythm guitar sounds really cheeky and, above all, it is brimming with self-confidence. And the echoes enchant the entire horizon of the sound spectrum and almost create something like an Aurora Borealis in my left ear or an Aurora Australis in my right ear. Or vice versa. Either way, it feels as if all my music synapses are brightly lit.
Occasionally, there's a bit of a rustling, which is almost too much for me with "Ya Waa Wa Waa." And that brings me to the point where I think it's not AI music, because that's apparently part of Al Breadwinner's "good tone." I like Al Breadwinner.
DubI actually really like it, but his “fetish” for the rustling and zimbling unfortunately often dampens my enthusiasm.
(Screw it!) ….. When music affects me the way this album does, and especially “Natty Come Again,” where it also has a bit of a rustling sound, then I’m totally on drugs without any additives. I’m sure everyone here knows the feeling I get with this Dub I feel the same way, even if you don't feel the same way in this particular case, but all I can say is, I feel sorry for all the people who don't know this feeling, or who have never had it. I don't think a mother who has just given birth to a healthy child could feel much better. Yes, I know! That's probably a tiny bit of an exaggeration, but hopefully it conveys how I feel about the music even better.

Yeah man! “Natty come again” …… “Natty Dread rides again” …. lemmi

(I actually wanted to write that the vocals sound extremely artificial to me and that I could therefore attribute them to an AI, but I'll leave that out because the album is great anyway.)

On Bandcamp, the description under the profile picture reads in very small letters: "Real People Music"! A clear indication that it's not AI. It's a truly great album, but when I look at the cover, I wonder where I left my glasses... but they're perched on my nose, ha!

Hehe, yes the cover ……

I was actually about to write that I suspect it was photographed from a small child's arm. Surely you still remember those old decals we used to love sticking or rubbing onto our arms. Those were real tattoos ;-) ……………. lemmi

Oh, one more thing:
I remember you saying that fade-outs aren't really your thing, to put it mildly. I think we all dislike them to a greater or lesser extent. I find the fade-outs here particularly unloving, almost brutal! And I find the fade-ins, like those on "Bunny Lee Shook My Hand," even worse than unloving fade-outs. So, for such a great album, I think that's a bit of a shame... lemmi

Yo Ras Vorbei !

"Year Zero Dub" is also really good, for my taste. Nice and aggressive and practically the opposite of Rosamunde Pilcher soundtracks.
You can see how lucky we are that we completely overlook such albums – like me – or – like you – only vaguely remember them ;-)

Greetings ………… .. lemmi
