The Soothsayers from South London stand for a wonderfully fresh style of music, which is basically based on the sound of early reggae, but also flirts very charmingly with other music styles and always ensures very varied and exciting albums. Her seventh album, "Tradition", was released last summer. now is the Dub-Version there: "Tradition Remixed“(Wah Wah 45). Okay, "Dub-Version “is perhaps a bit euphemistic, because actually these are remixes of all stripes by artists of various genres. But remix isn't always the same Dub? Anyway, Nick Manasseh is with a terrific one Dub-Mix represented. Otherwise, it is important to think outside the box and take a look at the Dub-Blowing the bass to clogged ears with fresh beats.

Oh yes, the Soothsayers!
I would say they can play! They might as well annoy me. Their joy in playing is on the one hand really refreshing but sometimes or more often they overwhelm me with excursions into "intellectual" musical spheres.
The saxophone even made me feel something like "hate" at times. But basically I think the Soothsayers
really good. That's why I bought the “tradition” “blindly” ……. but so far only heard a third, because so far I have found them very boring or just too “intellectual”. Or the edge of the plate is simply too far away for me.
Here at “Tradition Remixed”, the one that sticks out for me too DubVersion by Nick Mansseh. I really liked the vocal version of “Good Vibration”. But the Dub I still prefer a whole corner. “Sleepwalking” really doesn't have anything to do with it Dub or let alone to do with reggae. Not that I know him well but it reminds me a bit
of Manu Dibango's riddims. But something like that goes well with me.
“Watching the Stars”…. I have no idea but for me it goes in the direction of cumbia and cumbia always grooves really well with me. The interspersed vocals are also nice and unobtrusive and enrich the version.
“Tradition” is easy listening. I don't need it at all, but I don't have to run away either.
"Nothing Can´t stop us" is Soothsayers as I got to know and "love" them. Every note and every beat fits exactly to the point. In any case, that underlines my "thesis" that they can play.
“Dis and Dat” by Ben Hauke is actually not bad either. But the Steeve Cobby Remix is my highlight here on the disc. On Dub Dynasty “Thundereing Mantis” I've heard something similar before. This kind Dub, was the reason why I "Dub Dynasty “bought at all. I see this as an innovation that I could get even more excited about in the future. This is really a new kind of riddim that I could very well go into the future with,
Really cool that part! …… and right away “nomma from the front bidde !!!” LOUD !!!
In this sense ……………. lemmi
