Who visites Dub really want to get beaten up should listen to this sampler. The kick drum doesn't take prisoners. She stomps whatever stands in her way. The bass then flattens the remains. What remains are scorched earth and burst eardrums. The title sums up this experience: "Steppin 'Forward 2" (Moonshine Recordings). 16 tracks that rock every sound system, from producers largely unknown to me - except for Adam Prescott and Professor Skank. Unknown because the label is more in the realm of Dubstep drifts around. But don't worry: Reggae beats dominate on the second edition of “Steppin 'Forward”, only the playing style is more brutal and electronic than usual. Dub with headbanging factor - can be fun too.

Brutal!
It feels like I'm making my 100th attempt to explain why this type of dub is in my bottom drawer.
It starts with the strange sounds of the keyboards that provide the reggae rhythm. Somehow that sounds like "Inquisition" to me. I associate it with a dark, cold room in which some Catholic (SP) priest ushers in the cupboard service. The rest of the "instrumentation" sounds like cold, empathetic tools with which you can people
can cast out the last glimmer of hope in Life Love and Unity with no prospect of Freedom and Justice. It sounds like that to me. No wonder that most of the producers are from here Dubstep come. For me this one has Dub no soul.
Even Professor Skank doesn't knock me out of my seat here, although he does at least a little DubAtmosphere and a little magic
has ground in. In which Dub Adam Prescott's heart really opens my heart, even if the notes here also sound quite harsh. Is ok, some people like it, some just need something, I only in exceptional cases. But we have that right now anyway. Well Adam Prescott fits. I like it !!!
The best way to understand what I mean is to let the Adam Prescott “disc” continue running. "Too rude" from the "new kids on the 6th blocc" is really just a pitiful attempt at anything in terms of things against Adam Prescott Dub to produce.
A matter of taste?!? It may be that people who grew up with cell phone sound have built up a certain tolerance for it, but for me this is cheap music. At most a plagiarism of Dub. Then goes on like this for the rest of the album and just never comes out. No magic, no groove, no soul.
As far as my verbal revenge on this kind of Dub.
With all my - certainly slightly exaggerated - "verbal attacks" I also say that it is ultimately about Dub acts and I love Dub ! That is why there are some Dubs with me in the drawer but in the bottom.
My "thirst for revenge" stems primarily from the fact that sound systems all over the world seem to be firmly convinced that
this brute (and ultimately most stupid) form of Dub "The real thing" is and I have no respect for that.
I've been reggae and for almost 40 years Dub Fan and I may well be wondering why these "lateral entrants" don't make it to me with theirs Dub to inspire for more than half an hour.
Yeah, when I'm at it, I was also busy, but only because I am so limitlessly tolerant ;-)
Most of the people who just jump up and down in front of the pit towers and want or have to let off their excess energy are known to have little to do with reggae. For that reason alone there is a certain discrepancy.
(Foreign words don't really suit me at all, but at the moment it's best to get across).
Steppers stop! I can make a comparison with the lost habits of “health fanatics” who, for a relatively large amount of money, pedal miserably up and down on steppers in so-called fitness centers or even ride bicycles on the spot without even moving half a meter forward don't hold back. I find both to be extremely stupid and extremely boring. Basically, I'm maybe just jealous that I can't turn my brain off like that, because these people are also characterized by a certain diligence in life and usually get further in life than I do. Ok, I would rather spare you an analysis of my psyche now. Besides, I'm of the opinion that most of the others have a problem with the marble. DubBlog readers (do they even exist), as well as reviewers
DubFans, on the other hand, are of course vaccinated ;-).
(I firmly assume that my allusions to the past, present and most likely future, of the Catholic Church, which are hopefully well hidden, do not have to be censored).

Hey, Lemmy, yeah Dubblog readers do exist - and probably more than you think. Usually around 2000 readers drop by each month. In December 2019 and March 2020 there were even 2500!
Our reviews and your comments will be read. Nice to know, isn't it?
High René!
Expressing myself precisely and unequivocally will probably remain my insoluble life task. I've tried and don't find my attempt too bad. My bracket actually clearly referred to female readers (!) And therefore my question remains? Are there normal beings who stand for Dub interested? In any case, there hasn't been a single female comment here. This is really not good as a couples exchange ;-)
Well ……… this is now my “Monday morning humor” ……. I hope it will not be perceived as "snotty". But I felt the need to clarify that again. There are exceptions almost everywhere and so far I have met around three women,
actually a slice of the Dub Syndicate in their possession.

René's martial choice of words alone: "got beaten up"; "Take no prisoners"; "Stamps down" "rolls ... flat"; scorched earth"; "Burst eardrums" makes me shudder and no anticipation arises. Nevertheless, I put on the sampler and should I tell you something, René is right: that's exactly how I feel afterwards.
You should always try to be tolerant, even if it's very difficult. But that's really not my construction site.
Yes, René's choice of words really gets to the point!
I completely forgot to blaspheme about the so-called "headbanging" with the "metallers". Whenever I see that, I think, yes (!) There is really no other way to “dance” to the music.
Ok sorry, sometimes I'm just so convinced of my taste in music or the music I like to listen to most,
that I fall into exaggerated arrogance towards all the other "shit". That is of course not ok, but as a fan who has to live “in fear and horror” both through disregard in all media and the ignorance of the "normal population" towards my favorite material, I allow myself that.
I'll get two bottles of Corona or something like that and then it's the weekend!
Until ………………. lemmi
