Mad Professor: Ariwa 2018 Riddim Series

Even the Mad Professor can't help it. It was time for a new one Dub-Album by him. He calls it modestly: "Ariwa 2018 Riddim Series“(Ariwa), but of course he can't keep his hands off the controls and has decent ones here too Dubs packed on it. Everything sounds as you know it from him: not too exciting rhythms, but crisp and - heard loudly through headphones - quite dizzying. Unfortunately, with the bass, the professor usually goes to work a little more cautiously, but drums and percussions are all the more suitable for puncturing the listener's head on both sides. This is how we love and appreciate our Prof.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

One reply to "Mad Professor: Ariwa 2018 Riddim Series"

Especially as far as the sound and the riddims are concerned, I have reduced my expectations of Mad Professor records a bit in the last few years and I no longer approach every new record from him with such enthusiasm. In this case, that seems like the right approach to me. Especially after your 3-star review, I wasn't expecting much. And as is often the case, I am very pleasantly surprised! I like almost all of the versions a lot (especially Space Cake and Alpa Dub )! In addition, he likes to play with the drums and the percussions and creates a nice, healthy “psychosis” by sending it specifically through his magic machine. And to be honest, what should I say (?),
the bass bubbles really well on most of them Dubs!!!
So Mad Professor lets it flash again and again even after weaker appearances and for me his discs remain an option to buy.

I like it ... I like Dub ! …………………. lemmi
