Hier muss ich doch mal ganz schnell meine Meinung kundtun !
Ich finds wieder herrlich ! Es gibt so Klänge, Frequenzen und ja, Sound im allgemeinen, der mich komplett begeistert. Sei es, weil der Offbeat Riddim exact ganau so „hoch und heilig“ und vor allem auch mit einer speziellen „Bissfestigkeit“, sowie einer geradezu perfekt abgestimmten Würzung aus Hall und Echo den gesamten Raum erfüllt. Oder / und, weil die Bassmelodien meine Seele mit all ihrem Charme so schön umgarnen, dass ich mich rundum wohl fühle. Diese wohlige Sound und Effektfülle, gepaart, mit Riddims, die ich nahezu als göttlich empfinde, ist mir bei Richie Phoe schon mal sehr gut aufgefallen und ist auch ein Hauptgrund dafür, daß Haris Pilton mich immer wieder so begeistert. Und Mr. Woodwicker entfaltet bei mir aus dem selben Grund diese sehr belebende und auffrischende Wirkung. Dabei haben alle ihren ureigenen Stil und jeder Sound klingt anders und doch sind alle aus dem selben oder zumindest dem gleichen Grund so genau richtig für mich. Alle Dubs und Versions sprühen geradezu vor Lebensfreude und erzeugen Selbige auch bei mir. Danke dafür !
Leider ist das mit dem Humor immer so eine Sache. Die Vocals hier bei
„Black Humor In Dub“, hätten für meinen Geschmack in einem Tune gereicht. Diese Vocals auf das ganze Album verteilt, strapazieren meinen Humor dann doch etwas. Soviel hätte ich davon nicht gebraucht. Aber die Musik gefällt mir so sehr, dass ich das in Kauf nehme. Fragt sich nur, wie lange meine Toleranz das mitmacht. Von daher könnte ich es fast begrüßen, das hier nur so kurze „PromoVersions“ aufgenommen wurden.
Für die DubVersions ist das aber kein guter Stil, wenn ich das mal so schreiben darf. Die Dubversions sind hier defenitiv zu kurz geraten.
Aber der Sound, die Atmosphäre und das gesamte DubFeeling sind mal wieder voll und ganz nach meinem Geschmack.
Und wer sich als „God´s Favorite Idiot“ bezeichnet, ist meiner Meinung nach, eh auf einem sehr guten Weg ……

Thank you so much for your review, i truly love it… critics included. Just to say… i created this album cause after i produced and dubbed more than 100 tunes i was really overwelmed and i felt the need to hear different topics from usual reggae ones…more…i felt the need to hommage what influenced me in my musical journey…and…of course… to share my weird sense of humor…btw…it s me singing my lyrics…
No AI was harmed during the recording of these tunes…

I love it, when the Artist is reading in DubBlog, to check out our opinions. I feel proud, when you call my comment a „review“. But this is a little bit oversized or call it as you like. A review needs much more informations than only a comment. But no problem, we dont have to think about little things like that.
To me it is nearly sure, that you dont use AI in your Production, because AI is a cold tool without any feelings, got no enthusiasm for the music and it has no conscious brain and no own soul. And it got a humor like F.Merz. Your DubMusic is completely different ! It is full of humor in text and melody and it got all the power, what I need in Reggae and Dub Music. It is not minimalismus ! It is maximalismus !
It is the same with „Under my Voodoo“ ! There you can find not only comments. You can find a real review from Mr. Waynands himself. Ok, he has lost one Star on the long way but ….. no problem ;-)
No matter what the people say, your sound leads the way !

Yes…it can be considered a review…you widely expressed your feelings and thoughts…some critics…btw i love critics when almost clearly explained…i knew that a kind of album like that could leave listeners perplexed…to be kind…but as said somehow i see too many stereotyped reggae tunes…in my prods too…so i said what if i add a punk black humor approach to reggae…and at same time hommage my influences…such as 90s nofx stuff…i loved to force myself to sing…and fun fact…with my normal voice i m so much out of tune…but using that armstrong inspired kind i m almost perfectly tuned…even my sound engineer cant explain it…guess it s a dissociation mind trick…but most important thing is that i hope i made someone laugh and reflect hearing my tunes…
